How to convert E57 to PLY online

Use the free browser tool. Your scan never leaves your device.

Open the converter — go to E57 → PLY.
Drop your E57 — drop a .e57 file onto the page or click to choose it.
Review scans — the tool lists scans, point counts, and fields (RGB, intensity, poses).
Set options — keep colour/normals, apply poses, choose intensity handling and coordinate precision.
Convert — click Convert to PLY. In Chrome/Edge you can pick the save path; the file is written as it is produced.

Tips

Prefer HTTPS (this site) over opening a local file:// copy when converting very large scans in Firefox/Safari.
Leave “Verify checksums” on to catch corrupt or truncated E57 files.
If the file has embedded photos, extract them separately — PLY cannot store them.
